Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

The Boardwalk Hotel wants every guest to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.

What we have done

In September 2026 we reviewed this website against WCAG 2.2 Level AA and fixed the problems we found. The work included:

  • stronger text and button color contrast;
  • text descriptions for images, and hiding purely decorative images from screen readers;
  • a clear heading structure on every page;
  • a “Skip to main content” link and a visible keyboard focus outline;
  • keyboard access to the menu, the FAQ answers, the room photo galleries and the slideshows;
  • pause buttons for moving slideshows, the announcement bar and background video;
  • form fields with clear labels, and required fields marked in words;
  • links that make sense out of context and warn when they open a new tab.

We check the site with automated tools and with keyboard and screen reader testing, and we will keep reviewing it.

Booking online

Online reservations are handled by a third-party booking service, Cloudbeds. Parts of that service are outside our control and may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

If you have any trouble booking online, please call us at (619) 500-8006 or email hello@hotelboardwalk.com and we will help you make your reservation.

Accessible rooms

We offer an Accessible Luxury One-Bedroom Suite. To ask about its accessible features, or to reserve it, please call (619) 500-8006 or email hello@hotelboardwalk.com.

Feedback and contact

If you find a part of this website that is hard to use, please tell us. Let us know the page and the problem, and we will work to fix it.
